My Tools, My Plan, for
My Passion
I spent a few weeks looking for and collecting secondary sources, that I could use on my paper. My paper is on recycling, which is a big hot topic, so it’s pretty easy to find resources. But it is harder to find things that are reliable and that aren’t redundant. Most things I have been finding, and that I intend to use as my secondary sources are from the internet, all being reliable sources .org’s .edu’s and elibrary, and of course some common knowledge I have gotten from just everyday life.
For my primary source I have conducted a survey on two English Ten classes. With this survey it tells me what people do with recycling, and what about it they know. I intend to use this in my paper and show people what is really going on in the world and the effect it is taking on the planet when you don’t recycle and take care of it. But this one source it is not enough for me, neither are all of my secondary sources. My sister is a student at Grand Valley, in Allendale, Michigan. At Grand Valley they have a great recycling program, but not only that the whole campus is certified “green”. My sister loves it there, and knows a lot about what is going on in terms of their recycling programs. So I intend to interview her and find out more about it, what it takes, who came up with it, and why more colleges and more people aren’t doing it.
I think with these sources I will be able to get a better idea about recycling and what it entails, and hopefully will make people more aware about what is going on in the world, and what could be accomplished with the help of recycling.
